A Different Approach to Therapy
WILD HOPE THERAPY
A highly integrative, flexible, and pragmatic approach to therapy, blending different modalities and techniques. Drawing from both evidence-based practices and humanistic, relational approaches. Ready to meet clients where they are at no matter where or at what point we are starting from
Hi, I'm Shannon
I am glad you are here! I know what it is like to feel l disoriented, overwhelmed and lost. Maybe you are getting by, maybe you are surviving but not really living. I know sometimes it feels easier to just keep pushing forward and avoid looking at the problem or facing the truth.
You might be struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, severe mental illness or the effects of someone elses mental illness or addiction; or perhaps it is the secondary effects of these things such as loss of control, lost sense of reality, grief, numbness or despair - It is my job to meet you where you are at and together we will cut through the fog to get to the heart of what is really going on.
My goal is to help you find the clarity and strength to create real change — on your terms.
Compassion is at the core of what I do, but I also know that change takes honesty, hard work, and accountability. It is my goal is to provide a you with a safe place and sense of comfort and readiness to start digging deep to begin doing the work of becoming unstuck.

Compassionate.
Direct.
Human.
“Here’s the thing about wildflowers: They take root wherever they are, grow strong through the wind, rain, pain, sunshine, blue skies, and starless nights. They dance, even when it seems there is nothing worth dancing for. They bloom, with or without you.”
- Alisha Christensen, Still Growing Widlflowers

Wild Hope may sound like a contradiction in a way, but here the term Wild refers to life's tendency towards turbulence, uncertainly and chaos while Hope refers to resiliency, optimism and our inner wisdom to create our own balance and steadiness within the chaos. While we can’t control the world around us, we can learn to trust ourselves and our ability to navigate whatever life brings our way.

Wild Hope Therapy is about transforming our struggles into strength and recognizing that life’s challenges can become the very bedrock from which we emerge stronger and more vibrant than ever before; no different than a wildflower.
Wildflowers start their journey in the dirt and grow in the most unlikliest of places. They grow on the side of. highways, the side of cliffs and spring through from the cracks in the pavement. Wildflowers grow in spite of their obstacles and so can we. When we dig deep inside ourselves through all of the layers, we can find the true shining flower that has been there all along. And just as wildflowers emerge from the darkness, so shall we.
